The Skye Museum of Island Life offers visitors a unique and authentic insight into island life over a century ago. The museum comprises of eight thatched cottages, each with its own distinct story to tell. One of these, the Old Croft House, was lived in until as recently as 1957. This award-winning attraction is a must-visit for anyone exploring the beautiful Isle of Skye.

Highland Cow Trail at the Highland Deli

Come and meet our charming Highland cattle and enjoy a truly memorable experience. Visitors have the opportunity to feed our friendly Highland coos, one of the world’s oldest cattle breeds, with a rich history dating back to the 6th century in the Outer Hebrides.

Along the short walk to the cattle, visitors will also discover several delightful photo opportunities, including the chance to meet and pet Valais Blacknose sheep, widely regarded as the world’s cutest sheep.

Admission and cattle feed at the Highland Deli where you can also purchase coffee, tea, cakes and snacks.
